Bane Processing Notes
Please read this note completely. Once processed you will not be able to view it again Keep it open all the time so you can follow the instructions. You may want to copy and paste it to a TXT (Notepad) file so you can reference it later.
This guide is designed to enhance the bane process.
The role-play will be performed in open chat. IM is for instructions and questions. The fewer questions asked in IM during the processing the more realistic it is, but feel free to ask if you don't understand. The role-play will contain clues and hints about what you need to do and when. Please listen for them and don’t jump ahead. Simply follow the hints. All parts of the process are covered. If in doubt ask in IM.
PREWORK. This is performed in the Prep Room, where you are now.
1) Please remove ANY existing RLV devices. You must NOT be wearing any devices except ours when we begin your processing.
2) I will give you a Collar. Please wear it, click on it, select ACCESS > ADD OWNER and make ME the owner. Let me know when you've done that so I can check it. You must have this ON when we begin your processing.
3) I will give you your Helmet. Please wear it, click on it, select ACCESS > ADD OWNER and make ME the owner. Let me know when you've done that. I'll test it and tell you to remove it. (You'll have to put your hair back on after that.)
4) When you've taken off your helmet, put it in a new folder under your #RLV folders called B-HELMET.
5) I will give you your Custodian. Again, please please wear it, click on it, select ACCESS > ADD OWNER and make ME the owner. Let me know when you've done that. I'll test it and tell you to remove it.
6) When you've taken off your Custodian, put it in a new folder under your #RLV folders called B-CUST.
7) Now we will make sure your black latex suit is OK. Take off ALL your clothing and put on the suit: undershirt, underpants, gloves, socks. Assuming it is all OK, take it all off.
8) Put it in a new folder under your #RLV folders called B-SUIT
9) I will give you the OPENCOLLAR SUB AO. Please put that in a folder called B-AO.
10) You should UPDATE YOUR PROFILE so that friends know why you can't respond. Add "UNDER BANE 2017 RESTRICTIONS" to the front page.
THAT IS ALL until you are ready for processing! If that is now, continue on; if not, set up a day and time for processing; it should be around 30 to 40 minutes.
PROCESSING
When you see a hint for you to perform an action, such as "take off your clothes" please send a comment in open chat so that I know you have competed each step as sometimes lag delays what I see. Preferably as part of the roleplay character.
You should be wearing NO RLV DEVICES except for the COLLAR we gave you.
You should be wearing NO AO.
These steps happen in order during the roleplay:
--I will STRIP YOU.
--I will SIT and STAND YOU UP several times.
--At more than one point, you will be BLINDED. Don't worry; just immerse in the feeling of what is happening.
--I will ADD THINGS TO YOUR BODY
--At the very end, I will add you to the BANE 2018 group. Make that ACTIVE during your entire sentence.
--At the end of the processing RP, I will say "DISPERSE." That is your signal to leave the Processing Center (and to leave me every time we see each other during your sentence).
YOUR BANISHED LIFE
1) I highly suggest you allow me to SEE YOU ON THE MAP. It will let me find and help you if there's a malfunction.
2) During your bansishment, I will contact you and ask REPORT STATUS. This means "Are you OK?" You will also see REPORT FOR MAINTENANCE. This means I will TP you to check your times, penalties, etc.
3) CAMPING -- leaving SL running for hours when you are not actually there -- is cheating. If you do not respond to a REPORT STATUS command within 15 minutes, you will have time added to your sentence. Do that more times and we will want to know if you're serious about this or just want to drop out.
4) Sitting under a tree for your whole sentence may sound safe and avoid violations, but it will be very boring. Although you won't be penalized, you won't enjoy the experience either. Get out there and experiment so you feel the experience!
5) Be aware that violation penalties MULTIPLY QUICKLY. learn from your mistakes. You will be in violation if you try to interact with the environmet, and if you try to emote. Trying to talk will be blocked but is not a violation
6) All movement is allowed except flying. Your helmet will NOT allow you to SIT. You can access your landmarks via the map only.
7) Technical problems will be dealt with ASAP and do not reflect against you.
8) It is not recommended that you use the touchpad on a laptop, or a joystick. These have been known to cause MANY violations.
9) At the end of your sentence, either of two things can happen:
a. You can simply wait and the helmet will automatically unlock, and you are free
2. We can Roleplay you out of the suit. This is not in the story, but we offer it as a bonus. However, to make sure your helmet doesnt unlock, we record the amount of time left and add "insurance hours". (In other words, if you think you will want the RP exit and you have a 20-hour sentence, we will actually set your helmet to 22 hours.) This extra time does not need to be served. It just ensures the roleplay can be completed. Please ensure you advise when you think your sentence may be nearing completion.
EXITING EARLY
You may safeword out of the suit by sending the following to your Operator:

You will then be unlocked as soon as possible.
You can send that to ANY of our staff if they are online. Add them as a friend, allow them to see you on the map and they will come and advise you of the emergency procedure.
If you do not get a response after 15 minutes, or no senior staff are online, you may relog in standard veiwer and remove the helmet.
Should you request this you will not be allowed to remain in the Bane2018 group, but you will not be treated with disrespect. Banishment is hard! It's not for everyone.
